Background

Presently, the Urban Natural Resources Institute consists of scientists from the Forest Service’s Northeast Research Station and the North Central Research Station. Later this year, these two research stations are proposed for merger into one unit, called the Northern Research Station (NRS). UNRI is proud be part of the new NRS and has begun to utilize the combined resources of the proposed station and enlist our Forest Service scientists from both units in this new initiative.
