‘Earth Day Was Excellent – Now What? Engagement, Equity and Opportunities with i-Tree’
So many of our i-Tree participants celebrate the power of trees during spring planting events around Earth and Arbor Day. But we know that the challenges of maintenance, stewardship, and health often continue after the big day. Join us on Thursday, May 23 for the next UNRI i-Tree Series webinar highlighting some strategies for using information from i-Tree to guide your post-planting strategies and prioritize your program goals.
i-Tree allows any community to conduct and analyze a sample, or complete street tree inventory, data, and make estimates of the structure, function, and value of these components of your urban forest. Baseline data can be used to effectively manage the resource, develop policy and set priorities. Looking at information collected on existing street trees, this software allows managers to evaluate current benefits, costs, and management needs. We hope that this will be a very informative session, and provide important feedback to the i-Tree team, and allow your ideas to be brought into future planning efforts. Please plan to join us if you are able. For more information on i-Tree, please visit www.itreetools.org/.
The program begins at 1:00 PM (Eastern), on Thursday, May 23, 2019
