Establishing the Value of Urban and Suburban Trees
RESOURCES FROM THE LEXINGTON LIVING LANDSCAPES PRESENTATION
These resources have been prepared to complement the presentation that was delivered virtually, on January 11, 2023 to Lexington Living Landscapes, and other partners. The presentation examined the many ways in which trees in urban and suburban landscapes improve our neighborhoods and quality of life. It introduced scientific methods that can be used to determine the benefits of such trees and calculate a monetary value for these ecosystem services. Attendees were shown how to determine the value of a single tree, or all of the trees in their own community during the presentation. Several i-Tree software tools were demonstrated.
