Webinar 1 – Wednesday, January 22, 2020

Topic: Course Introduction

Description: In this session, participants will be introduced to the i-Tree Academy and the i-Tree software toolkit. In addition to touring the i-Tree website and learning management system, we will introduce key concepts including types of tree benefits, current community challenges, and examples of successful i-Tree projects. This interactive session will provide a foundation for new learning and strategic thinking to apply i-Tree successfully.

Webinar 2 – Wednesday, February 05, 2020

Topic: “Browser Based Applications: i-Tree Design, MyTree and Planting”

Description: This session will provide an overview of several online tools that can be used effectively by a variety of users including homeowners, students, volunteers, landscape designers, utilities and more. We will also explore how these tools can be used creatively by communities for engagement, education and adding value to projects.

Webinar 3 – Wednesday, February 19, 2020

Topic: “Browser Based Aerial Applications: i-Tree Landscape and County”

Description: This session will introduce i-Tree Landscape which can be used to explore the spatial relationships between tree canopy and human populations to optimize tree planting and preservation efforts. i-Tree County is designed to quickly generate ecosystem service estimates for US counties based off the Landscape platform.

Webinar 4 – Wednesday, March 04, 2020

Topic: “Aerial & Field Applications: i-Tree Canopy & Eco Part1”

Description: This session will provide an overview of i-Tree Canopy which can be used to estimate canopy and other cover types. The 2nd part of the webinar will introduce the i-Tree Eco model to set the stage for more in-depth exploration of the field-based assessment tool in the weeks ahead.

Webinar 5 – Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Topic: “Desktop Applications: i-Tree Eco – Data Needs, Measurements, Collection Options and Reports”

Description: This module will continue examining i-Tree Eco’s numerous project and data options including a flexible import system. Participants will gain an understanding of Eco project phases, new data collection options, reports and how this tool can be applied effectively.

Webinar 6 – Wednesday, April 01, 2020

Topic: Scenario Based Learning

Description: This session will combine previous learning by demonstrating how multiple i-Tree applications and options can be utilized to effectively address multiple city challenges and opportunities. Participants will gain an understanding of how to creatively and effectively apply i-Tree tools and options based on available resources, data and city objectives.

Webinar 7 – Wednesday, May 06, 2020

Topic: Final Project Presentation and Review

Description: In this session, participants will present their final projects for review and discussion.

Additionally, guests will be invited to attend via the web, in order to provide an enhanced learning experience for the i-Tree user community.
