IPED Instructional Web Series
Pest Detection Tools for Urban Forests
This web-based instructional series will introduce IPED to you, help you understand its value as an important tool in your urban forest management toolkit and provide you with hands-on demonstrations related to the installation, use and reporting components of the software. IPED is the latest tool in the i-Tree software suite, which can be used to to survey the trees in your community for signs and symptoms of invasive pests and stresses. The IPED pest detection protocol can be used in your community to identify possible occurrences of exotic pests, stresses and diseases. Additionally, IPED enables users to collect pest inventory data into a standardized form, enabling analysis of pest trends that are otherwise difficult to detect across geographic or political boundaries.
