Cities and the Environment Journal – Availible Online

The second volume of the Cities and the Environment Journal (CATE) is now availible for online circulation.  CATE publishes peer-reviewed scholarship on urban ecology research and urban ecology education.  The journal encourages submission of scholarly works of the following types: well-written, relevant articles; multi-media products such as simulations, video streams, audio productions and other visualization tools.  The theme for Volume 2 is “Ecological Landscaping: From Scientific Principles to Public Practices and Policies.”

CATE’s mission is to bring together research scientists, urban practitioners and communitybased professionals in a multi-media forum of peer-reviewed articles that address the challenges of understanding and managing urban ecosystems. Its goal is to contribute to the development of healthy and sustainable urban communities by providing engaging and practical information to urban stakeholders.
